Attn: Faculty/Staff - Use MAP-Works to encourage first year student success
Making Achievement Possible-Works
MAP-Works is a student success and retention program for first-time, first-year students at Texas Tech. The system uses data uploaded from Banner, academic updates from faculty/staff, and a series of online surveys to determine if a student is at-risk for leaving the institution. Texas Tech will launch the MAP-Works Fall Transition Survey on September 16th, 2012. This assessment, more commonly known as MAP-Works, identifies students who may be struggling early in the semester and throughout the year, allowing for immediate support and intervention by faculty & staff. Bottom line, we can find students who are having difficulties or at risk for leaving Texas Tech earlier and help them by connecting them to resources. We do all this because we want students to succeed.

By utilizing MAP-Works, you can be directly connected to the students in your class/department you work in. The system will identify those who are at-risk and you can reach out to them with individualized talking points and referrals to resources to aid in their success.

We are offering training on how to utilize the MAP-Works system at the following dates & times:
Thursday August 30th 1-2:30pm
Friday August 31st 2:30-4:00pm
Tuesday September 4th 10:30am-12:00pm
