Fashion Camp Summer 2015
The Department of Hospitality and Retail Management at Texas Tech University is hosting the eighth annual Fashion Camp for ages 8 to 16. Fashion Camp 2015 is dedicated to enhancing each camper’s knowledge of fashion — ranging from lessons and activities on photo shoots, fashion trends, hair accessories, sewing, and much more, all designed to enhance their individual style and sense of creativity. Campers will explore the world of fashion, but at the same time learn many aspects of their own personal style. Each camp day is beneficial, innovative, and tons of fun. After a week full of fashion activities, a fashion show will be held in celebration of a job well done for all of the campers’ family and friends.

This year, there will be two different camps offered based on age. Glue, Glitter, and Glamour is for campers ages 8-12, and will feature fun activities like sewing, DIY jewelry, glitter headbands, and sunglasses. Tau Rho Mu is for campers ages 13-16, and will simulate what it is like to attend college. Campers will attend “classes” in which they learn the basic principles of visual merchandising, international retailing, consumer behavior, and retail buying.

Fashion camp will take place June 22 – 26. The deadline for registration is May 31st, and there are limited spots available. The cost is $500 before May 1st and $600 after May 1st (Includes: Room and Board, Meals, Camp T-shirt, and Supplies). Register online today at fashioncamp.hs.ttu.edu.

If you have any further questions, please contact Kathryn Rapp or Natalie Chapman at fashion.camp@ttu.edu or (806) 742-2810.
