Museum Docent Recruitment Event

DOCENT PROGRAM, MUSEUM OF TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY

Purpose of the Docent Program:
Connecting museum visitors to the objects, ideas, and mission of the Museum of TTU is the purpose of the program. As a docent, think of yourself as a link in a piece of chain-you are the connection between visitors and our exhibits and ideas. For most museums, the docent is the face and voice of the museum for almost all visitors. As a docent, you will be interacting with our visitors more than any other staff member, with the exception of perhaps the security staff. More than a director, or curators, a docent is the person that visitors will remember after their trip.
