United States Marine Corps Officer Programs

Marine Corps Officer training is the nation's premiere leadership program.  You will be challenged and evaluated on leadership, academics and physical training.  If you have what it takes, you will start your career in the Marine Corps as a second lieutenant.

With your education from the Texas Tech University, you may qualify to attend the Officer Candidate Course (OCC), an officer training program for seniors and graduates. This 10-week course is held on base in Quantico, VA. After graduation and successful completion of OCC, candidates will have the privilege of accepting a commission as a United States Marine Officer.

 Officer Candidate Course (OCC)

- For college seniors and graduates

- A 10-week course in Quantico, VA

-The next Officer Candidate Course is being selected on 13 July and will attend Officer Candidates School on 20 September 2015.

- APPLY NOW for Active Duty Ground, Air, NFO, Law or for the Reserves.

As a student enrolled full-time at TTU, you may qualify for the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC), which allows you to continue your studies while earning your commission as a Marine Officer.

Platoon Leadership Class (PLC)

- Freshmen and sophomores attend two six-week training sessions over two summers

- Juniors attend one 10-week summer training session

- PLC takes place at Quantico, VA

- APPLY NOW to go to training next summer!

- After graduation from college and completion of PLC, candidates are offered a commission as a second lieutenant
