SIGMA DELTA PI PRESENTS ART EXHIBIT: EVOLUTION OF HISPANIC ART

Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, will present an art exhibit titled “La evolución del arte hispánico según la mente joven.” The event will take place on Friday, April 24, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Texas Tech Library (CROSLIN ROOM). The exhibit will feature artwork by Lubbock High School Spanish students, and the objective is to showcase the young students' interpretation of the masterpieces of famous artists and teach others about the various artists they have studied. When you see the beautiful artwork that the young people have done, you can tell which artists they had in mind. The students will also answer questions in English and Spanish about the artists who inspired them, namely, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Fernando Botero, Joaquín Sorolla, Fernando Vicente, Xul Solar, Soraida Martínez, and Pablo Jurado Ruíz. Everyone is invited to this very inspiring event. Refreshments will be served. For more information or a copy of the event flyer, please contact Spencer Key at texastechsigmadeltapi@gmail.com.
