John Gilliam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University. His academic life is strongly influenced by over 35 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. John incorporates his myriad industry experiences when teaching risk management and insurance planning. John has served on the national board of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter.
