Tutors for Summer and Fall 2015
We are hiring tutors for the Summer and Fall semester. If you enjoy helping people reach their academic potential, then this is the job for you! Undergraduate students, Graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, and Law students are welcome to apply.
Subject tutors work with students as a supplement to what the student is learning in class. Subject tutoring is content specific, helping the student to understand core concepts discussed in the course. Subject tutors must have extensive background knowledge and understanding of the course material.
General tutors meet one-on-one with students to build and develop time management skills, reading and writing strategies, effective note taking skills, test preparation and test taking strategies, and general student self-advocacy skills. General tutors must have good organizational and communication skills. Future or previous educators preferred.
Qualifications:
1. GPA of 3.0
2. At least a Sophomore credit-wise
3. Strong Interpersonal Skills
4. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the course material
5. Available for required training
