Fibromyalgia patients needed for a research study

Men and women 18 years of age or older with fibromyalgia are invited to participate in a research study that will examine the effects of caffeine ingestion on muscle pain during short duration, low intensity handgrip exercise. Volunteers will be asked to visit us in the Exercise and Sport Sciences Building at Texas Tech University three times, with at least one-day intervals between the visits. The first visit will take approximately 30-45 minutes, whereas the other two sessions will take approximately 60 minutes each, resulting in a total time commitment of approximately two and a half hours. No invasive technique is involved. Financial compensation ($50.00) is available. If you would like to receive more information, contact Dr. Masa Umeda in the Exercise Psychology Laboratory at Texas Tech University at (806) 834-3475 or exercise.psychology@ttu.edu.
