Contra Dance: "refers to a folk dance, similar to a Square Dance, except instead of the square formation, it is danced in lines of couples, with every other couple facing up or down the hall"
Come join us at Gatsby's Coffeehouse for an open contra dance! Beginning at 7:00pm, we will be teaching and dancing the figures of this traditional American social dance. Listen to the music, meet new people, dance the figures, and enjoy some of Lubbock's best coffee or a little something from the Gatsby's Loft bar. Free friendly instruction to begin the evening. No cover and all ages and dance experience welcome.
