PUAD 5323: The Science and Policy of Climate Change, CRN 35289
This course offers an introduction to the basic science underlying human-induced climate change including analysis of observed trends, future projections, and potential impacts. It explores recent psychological, sociological, and communications research that explains people’s differing perspectives on climate science and solutions. It also focuses on the policy implications of this over-arching global issue, including setting targets, designing policies, and taking actions to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
The course is intended for graduate students in any field, from English to Engineering, who are interested in developing a solid understanding of climate change and exploring its relationship to their field of study. No prerequisites. Mondays, 6-8:50 pm
