PUAD 5348: Selected Topics in Public Administration - Local Government, CRN 11256
This course if designed for not only Public Administration majors, but those students who realize that the success of their careers depends on the ability of the municipal government in their city to provide public safety, transportation and utilities for its citizens.
Will there be sufficient water supplies? Will the road, public transportation and airport systems be able to prevent gridlock? Will the attacks on public safety agencies render them impotent in ensuring safety in the streets?
Study these and many other issues under the direction of former Lubbock Mayor Tom Martin, MPA ’77, who has “been there and done that” when it comes to city government. This course is open to all graduate students. Course meets on Wednesdays from 6-8:50 pm.
