TTU CSC Seminar

Our monthly Climate Science Center seminars sponsored by the Department of Political Sciences will resume TUES OCT 6 at NOON.

Please note that we have moved back into the Experimental Sciences Building and we will be in room 120.

As always, coffee and cookies are provided and please feel free to bring your lunch! All faculty, staff, and students are welcome.

This month's three speakers are:

  • Robert Perl from Architecture: "Ten ideas about buildings and sustainability"
  • Brett Houk from Archaeology: "The Ancient Maya: A Case Study in Climate, Culture, and Collapse"
  • Allison Pease from Natural Resource Management: "Potential impacts of environmental change on the functional structure of stream fish assemblages"

If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to participate in these CSC events in the spring as a Plenary Speaker on the topics of Big Data, Water, Invasive Species, and Energy, please contact our coordinators Jennifer Vanos <jennifer.vanos@ttu.edu> and Rodica Gelca <rodica.gelca@ttu.edu> and they would be happy to put you on the list.
