Young Pregnant Women Needed for Study

Texas Tech University Exercise Psychology Lab is recruiting healthy Teen minor (age 10-17) and young adult pregnant (age 18-24) women for a research study examining the role of exercise on psychological mood states and blood pressure response. Volunteers must be free from any health problems without any medication use at the time of participation. The volunteers will be asked to complete two sessions on two separate days to complete several tasks with research staff, including filling out questionnaires, checking blood pressure, exercising with a handgrip, and riding a stationary bike at moderate intensity for 20 minutes. The volunteers will also be asked to complete a one-week physical activity monitoring between the two sessions. Each visit will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. The volunteers must be pregnant with only one baby, without a history of abortion. No invasive technique is involved in this study, and financial compensation ($20 gift card from Wal-Mart) is available upon completion of the study.
