Spaces are still available to take HDFS 3321 “Human Sexuality from a Life Span Perspective” this spring semester. The course examines sexuality from a life span perspective, with an emphasis on developmental, familial, and societal factors that influence sexuality. This course includes a reinterpretation of traditional views of gender and gender roles, focusing on how such views influence sexuality and gender. The course is cross-listed in Women’s Studies.
A sample of topics explored includes attraction, arousal, contraception, sex education, anatomy, conception and pregnancy, sexual orientation, and sexual variation. Students leave the course empowered to have healthy, satisfying relationships.
