On Saturday, February 6, at 7:00pm, the Vernacular Music Center, the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and the Roots Music Institute, present a Jazz-Age Mardi Gras. The costumed event will include a live Preservation Hall-style jazz band, a New Orleans Second Line parade, Charleston dance lesson and demonstrations, and a raffle for a King Cake shipped directly from New Orleans.
All ages welcome! Ticket prices are $5 to be purchased at the door.
There will be king cake samples, sweet snacks, costumes, dancing, and the delectable dishes offered by Host and Toast. Come support your local community and join us for the Mardi Gras!
