Cin-Optics Film Series Screening of Man with a Movie Camera

Join us for a screening of Man with a Movie Camera and a mini-lecture from Dr. Allison Whitney. Admission is only $3 available at the Alamo Drafthouse prior to the film or online at: https://drafthouse.com/lubbock.

Named the best documentary film of all time by Sight and Sound, it is presented here in its entirety for the first time since its original premiere. Discovered and restored at EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam - with extensive digital treatment by Lobster Films - the 35mm print from which this edition is, in part, sourced is the only known complete version of the film.

As part of the inaugural TTU Humanities Center program, Synoptics: Epistemologies of the Observer, this film series, "Cin-Optics: Ways of Seeing in Cinema,” presents five screenings organized around five related themes during the spring 2016 semester. For a full list of themes and screening times please visit: http://www.depts.ttu.edu/provost/humanities-center/downloads/CinFlyerRev2_2_16.pdf

On-Campus screening will be held on in ENG 001 on February 9 at 7:00 PM.
