The Black Convocation Ceremony is a celebration of diversity at Texas Tech University. More specifically, this ceremony is a pre-commencement celebration to honor African and African American students who through unyielding determination have successfully completed a degree from Texas Tech. The event recognizes their accomplishments and provides an opportunity for the soon-to-be graduates to honor significant people who have helped them achieve their goals.
Registration for Black Convocation is currently open to all African and African American students graduating in May, August, or December of 2016. This includes: Undergraduate, Graduate School, Law School, Medical School, and Nursing School graduates. Registration will be open until March 1, 2016.
