Student Involvement is hosting two Risk Management Trainings this semester just for Advisors. According to the Texas Education Code 51.9361 we are required by law to educate student organization leaders and their advisors on a certain set of Risk Management topics. Student Organizations are required to attend a training once a year but we ask that student organization advisors attend at least once and then as much as they would like. If we have any major changes we will be sure to update all advisor.
If you have not attended a Risk Management training hosted by Student Involvement in the past two years we encourage you to attend one. Please register for a date and time that works with your schedule. If neither of the two offered this spring work with your schedule we will offer the training next fall.
Your attendance or lack of attendance will not affect your student organization(s) standing at this time. Please remember that these two trainings are only for advisors. Advisors may attend the Student Organization trainings but they are often longer and do not provide opportunity for advisors to discuss their concerns.
