Texas Tech University 2016 Big Data Symposium on April 29, 2016.

The symposium in the theme of Knowledge Co-Creation from Big Data will take place on April 29, 2016, from 8:30am to 5:30pm at McCoy Atrium (the lobby) in the Rawls College of Business building.

We are happy to host two keynote speakers who will share their insights on big data applications and researches.

1:Dr. Tyrone W. A. Grandison, Deputy Chief Data Officer The US Department of Commerce. 

Topic: "Data-Driven Government - Big Data With Purpose."

2:Dr. Bin Gu Professor of Information Systems Arizona State University.

Topic: "The Societal Impact of Big Data: Evidence from Political Science."


The symposium has the following objectives: Identifying trends driven by big data in the areas such as information, manufacturing, finance, marketing, etc.; conceiving strategies to take advantage of opportunities; forming collaborations for future efforts between industry and academia across the world; promoting educational programs in data science and technology.
