Spaces are still available to take HDFS 3321 “Human Sexuality from a Life Span Perspective” at 12 PM for the upcoming Fall semester. The course examines sexuality from a life span perspective, with an emphasis on developmental, familial, and societal factors that influence sexuality. This course includes a reinterpretation of traditional perspectives of gender and gender roles, focusing on how such views influence sexuality. The course is cross-listed in Women’s Studies.
A sample of topics explored includes attraction, arousal & orgasm, contraception, sex education, sexual assault, anatomy, conception & pregnancy, sexual orientation, and sexual variation. Students leave the course empowered to have healthy, satisfying sexual relationships.
