The Texas Tech yearbook, La Ventana, is now accepting *applications for the 2016-2017 people section editor position. If you have an interest in design and editing, then you would be a great fit for the people section editor position. Knowledge of AP Style and Adobe InDesign is required. When applying, please only check the section editor box. If you apply for this position you cannot have another on-campus job, since this is a paid position.
A few of the section editor duties include:
1. Coordinates copy assignments, working closely with the editor and managing editor on story angles, amount of copy and length of copy for individual pages and layouts.
2. Supervises reporters, sets deadlines of corrections according to prearranged schedules, designs and edits content in the people section of the Texas Tech yearbook.
3. Coordinates and schedules photo assignments for the section.
