Job Opportunity - Women's Studies Program

The
Women’s Studies Program is looking to hire one undergraduate or graduate student to assist with general office duties as assigned. The position will begin as soon as possible.

Description/Duties:
This position will be shared between the Women’s Studies Program and the Gender Equity Council. Responsible for, but not limited to the following activities: performs routine administrative support or technical program assistance work. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Job duties include; clerical, design and distribution of marketing materials, assist with coordinating and implementing co-curricular activities. Other items as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills- ability to work well with staff, instructors, & students, both on phones & face-to-face; excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); personable; strong organizational skills; detail-oriented: and able to work as a team or be a self-starter on projects. Must be able to work 20 hours per week around class schedule. Ability to lift 10 lbs or more.

Preferred Qualifications: Some office experience preferred. Working knowledge of design programs such as Photoshop or Publisher are preferred but not required.
