Professor Bernd Sturmfels, UC Berkeley, presents "Beyond Linear Algebra", a Public Lecture, accessible to students, Thursday, March 26 at 4:00 pm in Biology 101. A reception follows in the Biology Lobby.
Also, "The Euclidean Distance Degree", a Research Lecture, will be presented Friday, March 27 at 3:30 pm in Chemistry 107. Refreshments precede the lecture in Math 238 at 3:00 pm. These lectures are part of the Distinguished Lecture Series, sponsored by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
