Lubbock Exceptionalism Though Diversity

Enjoy light refreshments while taking advantage of an opportunity to learn from two giants of success in their industry right here in Lubbock.  Dr. Bernhard T. Mittemeyer currently serves as Emeritus Professor and Professor of Urological Surgery in the Department of Urology of the School of Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Before coming to Texas Tech in 1986, Dr. Mittemeyer served 28 years in the Army, rising to the rank of Lieutenant General and retiring in 1985 as Army Surgeon General, the highest position open to Army physicians.Dr. Mittemeyer served as Commander and Chief Executive Officer of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the military’s largest tertiary care, research and teaching hospital. Dr. Mittemeyer will present, "Be All You Can Be".

Our second guest this year is Christy Martinez-Garcia who makes an appearance once a week on KLBK Trends and Friends and is the self-made owner of Latino Lubbock which is a highly regarded magazine with wide circulation. She will share with us the path to successful business ownership and her current endeavors as she continues as editor of Latino Lubbock. Mrs. Martinez-Garcia will present, "Promoting & Engaging the Latino Community".
