Surviving & Thriving: Building Coping Skills in College

This group is a psychoeducational group led by staff from the RISE office and the Student Counseling Center . It is designed to help teach basic stress management and coping skills. We will spend time focusing on building skills to address coping with stressors, crises, and life, in general. There will be a lot of experiential exercises intended to help students practice the skills being taught in group. Though coping skills will be framed through the lens of your current experiences, the focus of group discussion will be application based, rather than individual problem discussion.

The group will be held on Wednesdays 3:00-4:00 pm in the Student Wellness Center Room 207. If you are interested, please contact Amanda Wheeler (amanda.wheeler@ttu.edu) or Kimberly Simon (kimberly.simon@ttu.edu) for more information about joining the group.
