WORLD HUNGER RELIEF helps communities in developing sustainable farming techniques, motivate individuals and communities to live sustainably and advocate on behalf of the poor, and partner with local and international sustainable development programs! Participants will take part in daily farm chores while learning about nutrition, our food system, and world hunger.

Texas Tech participants will travel to Waco, TX where they will have the opportunity to participate in various farm chores. Farm chores include: collecting eggs, feeding and watering farm animals, gardening, and milking. Students can be prepared to interact with chickens, rabbits, pigs, and baby goats. Each morning we will have a learning activity and a farm service project. Topics that are discussed throughout the trip range from free trade to soil conservation to sustainable development work. Programming and discussions will stimulate understanding or thinking about hunger, our food system, and world hunger. Join CALUE Service Breaks in this amazing opportunity!
